Every painter wishes that the painting he has started to work upon turns out to be one of the best masterpieces. However, it is not possible if you haven’t taken into consideration each and every aspect of painting right from the beginning.
There are several precautions that a painter must follow in order to make sure that the painting he is working upon turns out to be great. If not followed then chances are that you will most probably ruin up your painting rather than making it a masterpiece.
PRECAUTIONS TO PAINTING
Each painting requires these precautions to be followed in order to turn out well in actual. These precautions not only help painters to rectify any future disappointments but also helps him to be ready for what could turn up bad in future.
1. TONAL DIFFERENCE:
It is one of the most common mistakes found in paintings and is one of the most common thing overlooked by the painters while painting. This usually occurs because of the attraction and love to paint. Painters keep on adding more and more color to the painting which causes tonal differences later on in the future. The reason of adding more and more color is due to lack of satisfaction in work. A feeling is always felt by the painters that something isn’t quite right while coloring and in order to fix it they keep on adding more and more and different variants of colors.
2. TOO MUCH COPYING OF THE REFERENCE PICS:
It is human nature to keep something in reference when it comes out to creativity in order to branch out ideas and be clearer on what to make. Painters often keep various pictures as reference to the subject so that they can bring perfectionism in detailing in their painting. However, this turns out to be a ditto copy of the reference as the painters focus too much on keeping the same details as there in the pic.
3. EXCESSIVE COLORING:
Colors are highly seductive and equivalent to love for serious painters as they add life to whatever they are working on. They bring charm and attraction to their work which makes them feel at the top of the world. But as we all know excess of everything is bad! Same thing applies here too. While painting most of the painters outlook how much coloring they have done and how much more is needed as they keep going on with the flow of awesomeness. This results into excessive coloring which looks dull and horrible.
4. LACK OF AWARENESS:
Most painters aren’t fully aware of the in’s and outs of painting. They follow the pro’s and the painting classes and doesn’t do much of that research on their own. Their lessons although teach them much about painting but they do not explain or tell when you need to stop painting. Overworking on a creative thing especially a painting always destroys it. There have been many instances where masterpieces were totally ruined just because of this issue. Always maintain a presence of mind and stay alerted while painting so that you get to know that it’s done and there is no need of further work.
